Vocational Activities

Vocational center was started to impart vocational training to the students with Autism spectrum Disorder and other learning disabilities after they had completed their schooling. the Main objective is to bring out their strengths and talents and usher them towards a self reliant and constructive future.

The Center Timings are from 11.30 a.m to 4.00 p.m.. we work toward the overall development of the students. students are trained in

  • 1. Vocational skills towards earning a sustainable livelihood
    1. Assorted Chocolate making.. students are taught to make different types of chocolates, and later pack and label them.
    2. artificial jewellery with beads.
    3. Decorative diyas, rangolis, kumkum dabbis, toran.
    4. seasonal handicrafts like rakhis ,and painted divas are done during festival times
    5. Vegetable Cutting ,Sorting ,Packing. students pack bags of mixed cut vegetables ,shelled peas, etc.
    6. Agarbatti Packing—agarbattis are counted, packed, and labeled
  • 2. Basic Computer skills and data entry operations. students also handle data entry jobs under supervision of teachers, as well as learn basic computer skills
  • 3. NIOS coaching— intensive training in academics for those who are appearing for NIOS is done by special educators.
  • 4. Functional skills— we focus on developing essential life skills for independent daily living
  • 5. Recreational activies like music and dance are also conducted to refresh the students
  • 6. Birthdays and festivals are celebrated with galore.

Individual preferences and talents are observed after basic training and the the students will be given further training in the field of their choice.
